Funciones

Manage and administer the construction and delivery of a MegaProject acting in accordance with the Company terms of reference and instructions.

Complete of the works on time, in accordance with the contract/subcontract documents.

Achievement of the budget profit, whilst developing quality relationships with the Client, PMCM Consultants, Main Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

Manage the risks and changes control of the project.

Regularly report to the Company on the progress and financial standing of the project and seek directions as required.

Act as the project team leader controlling all aspects of the works including, planning, administration, commercial, engineering, site works, documentation and handover to the client.

Delegate work to the project team and monitors the progress to completion.

Ensure the works comply with the contract documents including drawings and specifications.

Ensure that the works are completed on time, notifying the client of any delays and valuing the costs associated with the delays.

Maintain good relationships with the client, Independent Client consultant, and the supply chain.

Lead the Consortium partners to a comon goal of working in a cooperative spirit although their differents backgrounds and cultural working environment.

Overall responsibility for Project in accordance with the Company terms of reference.

Develop and administers the project budget and controls expenditure to ensure the budget profit is achieved.

Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the project.

Instigate the project planning and review of progress against targets set.
-
Establish the project construction and T&C methodology with the project team.
-
Control the value engineering, design, subcontractors and material selection.
-
Co-ordinate the work of the joint venture team, suppliers and sub contractors.

Ensure that the works are installed to the specifications; quality and other requirements detailed in the contract documents.

Monitor expenditure against the project budget.

Ensure instructions are received for additional work and the value agreed with the Client.

Monitor progress of all aspects of the work to ensure completion on time. Notify the client of any delays to the works. Submit claims for costs associated with any extension of time.

Prepare monthly cost forecasting summaries.

Make regular applications for payment and collects cash to achieve positive cash flow.

Meet regularly with the client, client´s consultant and professional team at site and social events to develop close business relationships.

Ensure that the works are undertaken in a safe manner utilizing a project specific Safety plan.

Ensure that as-built drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period and issue final close-outs to Consultant/Client accordingly.- Interface with government departments and utility companies as applicable.

Implement a project specific Quality Assurance plan at each stage of the project.

Experiencia
-
More than 20 years post graduate experience in construction/infrastructure.

Mandatory previous experience in construction in the M. East.

Desairable also experience working from the client side.
Formación

Msc Civil Engineering from reputed University.

Detailed engineering and construction process knowledge in air conditioning, electrical, fire fighting and plumbing services for commercial and light industrial building.

Outline knowledge of MEP design.

Knowledge of the overall construction processes and operating practices in the GCC area.

Detailed understanding of the GCC construction processes.
-
Understanding of budget control and management reporting procedures.
-
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.

Planning ability to work in a structured manner and prioritize requirements.

Awareness of the forms of contract used in the GCC area, their requirements and interpretation.

Awareness of commercial and quantity surveying standards and practices in the GCC area.

Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements at all levels.

Ability to foster a co-operative business environment.

Prepare and present presentations at all levels.

Developed computer skill in spreadsheets, databases and planning tools.

Awareness of GCC construction codes of practice and regulations.
