Funciones

We are looking for a reliable Safety Manager to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.


As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.


The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.


  • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety

  • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention

  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations

  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions

  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims

  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures

  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

  • To coordinate with department heads to map the organization processes with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 17001 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Standards.

  • To coordinate with management and department heads to develop the management system documents to streamline the operations of organization.

  • To coordinate with department heads to identify the aspects and to evaluate their impacts on the environment

  • To coordinate with department heads to identify the hazards and to evaluate the risk level

  • To assist BU Managers to eliminate or minimize the risk to the personnel

  • To communicate "QHSE Policy" to all employees

  • To ensure the employees awareness regarding management system established.

  • To assist Directors to implement the management system in their departments respectively.

  • To assist to HR Department in evaluating employee’s competency to ensure the competence to implement and maintenance the management system effectively.

  •  To coordinate with department heads to plan and conduct the internal audits

  • To coordinate with Third Party certification body to conduct the audits.

  • To do the follow up audits to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed corrective actions

  • To control all obsolete or superseded documents

  • To control the disposal of records generated in the organization

  • Liaison with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities for their queries regarding the QHSE Management System.

  • To ensure that agreed actions / corrective actions are implemented to continually improve the performance of management system.

  • To ensure that integrity of management system is maintained.

Formación

Requisitos

  • Qualified Health and Safety Professional holding a master’s degree in occupational H&S.

  • Effectively lead and manage a team with excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Quickly build credibility, through influencing skills and strategies to build buy-in for change.

  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines with ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies

  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
