Electrical & Automation Project Engineer and EC&I Commissioning Engineer

The Electrical & Automation department offers project support to:

• Analysis and evaluation of customer enquiries, development of alternative concepts, customer consulting after order placement, analyses on feasibility, economic efficiency, integration into existing environment, consideration of functionality, capacities, noise protection, safety and security, standards, regulations, customize and test of flow charts in relation to electrical engineering, component sizing, installation planning (system layout, 3-D), route plans, circuit diagrams and circuit diagrams and design of powertrains.

• Preparation of the project calculation: quantity/cost structures, assessment of technical risks.

E&A Project Engineer tasks and engineering works to be performed:

• Display of apparatuses and instruments, buildings basic dimensioning and support of its civil engineering.

• Support for technical and commercial offers for clients within his scope.

• Support for technical tender documents and specifications for suppliers.

• Checking of technical offer documents and specifications.

• Identification of scope for price reductions (technical modifications) within the framework of renegotiations.

• Internal electrical engineering work steps and documents to be prepared: Instrumentation I/O list. Instrument data sheets, hook-up drawing and connection diagram (loop diagram). Consumer lists and data sheets. MCC typicals. Measuring point plans. Technical documentation for the order. FAT documentation and implementation.

• External electrical engineering work steps and documents to be prepared: Cable plans and route planning. Load flow analysis.

• Technical delineation of electrical engineering: Creation of assembly and circuit diagrams according to the specifications. Documentation in CAD and MS Office applications. Knowledge of EPLAN P8 or comparable CAD software.

• PLC programming and automation: Conception and programme development with different programming languages o S7, WINCC, PCS7, SCL, SIEMENS TIA Portal. Co-design and layout of the machine processes. Participation in the design of machine controls and components. Carrying out machine commissioning and acceptance tests. Creation of sequence programmes according to IEC61131-3.

EC&I Commissioning Engineer duties to be performed:

• Commissioning starts after installation in parallel to the last installation activities.  EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) engineer carries out the necessary activities to bring a fully assembled plant into a ready-to-operate condition. Checking (functional test) and adjustment of components and systems, as well as the review and optimization of the entire plant, belong to our main tasks. This is done in collaboration with external specialists for e.g. software, automation, hardware commissioning, etc.

• Tasks of EC&I Commissioning Engineer at plant site:

1. Signal and interlock check.

2. Testing the safety equipment.

3. Functional test of the assemblies and components.

4. Documentation according to QA verification.
