Duties

• Under the responsibility of the Construction manager, Test and Commissioning Electrical Engineer will be involved at all levels of activities related with High Voltage and Medium Voltage substation Test & Commissioning.

• Carry out witness/attendance of Factory Acceptance Tests of all main equipment such as 245 kV GIS, Power transformers, 27, 5 kV Switchgear, Control and Protection equipment, a.c. and d.c. distribution panels, batteries and rectifier, HV cables.

• To organize all documents related to FAT reports in a proper manner, organize with subcontractors and customer when FAT will be performed.

• To coordinate resources and test equipment with all parties involved in Test and Commissioning activities to have them on time when required.

• Establish and optimize the Test and Commissioning procedures. To prepare Test and Commissioning Plan.

• To prepare Test and Commissioning Schedule.

• Prepare weekly reports related to Test and Commissioning progress, issues sorted out, actions implemented, one week ahead activities, deviation, etc.

• Verify and validate test reports and make sure that all contractual technical requirements are met.

• Coordinate technical aspects related to T&C with the customer.

• Respect established project budget and schedule for T&C activities.

• Coordinate execution of “as built” drawings with design department.

• To be responsible to submit all technical documents such as “as built” drawings including operations and maintenance manuals on time.

• To submit all documents to the Document Control System as per contractual procedures.

• Identify any risk related to technical, safety, budget, and time that can affect the good and healthy progress of the project.

• Ensure technical support during installation/erection of the main equipment to identify any issues before T&C activities.

• Prepare training sessions for company engineers and substation operators and customer training.

• To perform some electrical test by himself, those one not performed by subcontractors. Locate and repair faults in electrical wiring systems.

• Ensure technical support for design department when identified.

• Participate to different technical meetings required during the development of the project, internal and external.

• To operate HV/MV substations. Energization process.

• To submit to the client final Test & Commissioning Plan. To get approval.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of related experience as Test and Commissioning engineer.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

​

Requirements

• Fluent English.

• Very good knowledge of electrical schematic drawings related to HV and MV substations.

• Use of test equipment and measuring instruments.

• Willingness and ability to travel/living in Israel.
